Botanical Propaganda Shampoo Bars Blog by Alyssa Amber

Botanical Propaganda Shampoo Bars // First Impression

Hello Luvs,

A few weeks ago I was contacted by the owners of Botanical Propaganda Bath and Body, and was asked if I wanted to review a new product of theirs. I have done a review before on their face scrub which you can find here.

Botanical Propaganda is a Canadian beauty company who’s products are all homemade, cruelty-free, vegan and free from all parabens and phthalates. They have three locations including, St. Jacobs, Cambridge, and the for November and December at Conestoga Mall (all located in Ontario). But if you can’t make it to any of these locations they have a very clean and easy to use website you can browse.

Peter and Deidre Zervos are the creators of this beautiful brand that is quickly taking off. A new product of theirs that has flown off the shelves, the shampoo bar’s; Revive, Satsuma, and Earth. I personally have never tried any shampoo bars but when Peter reached out to me I was very intrigued and honoured. Each shampoo bar is a 2.5 ounce puck that gives you 50-75 washes, which equals saving a landfill site 2-3 bottles!

“I love our Shampoo Bars for many reasons, two of which: amazing positive impact on the environment by “ditching the bottle”; much more natural and lacks the toxic chemicals that shampoo in plastic bottles have. Of course I love the way it makes my hair and scalp feel as well!” – Peter Zervos

How do you use them, you ask?

You just rub the puck between your hands to create the desired amount of lather, or directly on your hair (I prefer using my hands), message into your wet hair and rinse. How easy is that!?

When you do use shampoo bars, make sure yo keep them in a dry place outside of the shower between washes to prolong your use.

I have used the Revive bar about 4 times now, the lathering is so fun, you don’t need a lot for it to foam right up in your hair, the smell is very fresh and clean, and my hair feels healthy and less greasy the next day however thats possible.

I have nothing but love to share when it comes to this brand. I think everything from the packaging to their goals are so inspiring. You deff need to check out this homegrown bath and beauty company.
